Legal Compliance Assistant

Full Time

Candidate Responsibilities will include:
• Assist in monitoring compliance with applicable legislation and internal requirements, policies and procedures
• Monitoring that employees adhere to company procedures and compliance guidelines including sample testing of employees to ensure compliance
• Reviewing QA escalations and advising Compliance officer
• Assist in developing, promoting, implementing and maintaining compliance standards and procedures that enable employees to act in a compliant manner
• taking down action points and writing minutes, diary management, planning and organising meetings
• conducting research, assist in proper establishment and maintenance of procedures on the identification, reporting and resolution of breaches and other compliance and regulatory issues
• preparing compliance presentations
• managing and reviewing filing and office systems
• managing ad hoc projects
• Handling incoming calls and other communications on behalf of manager
• Review draft mandates and investment guidelines for compliance purposes, updating paperwork, maintaining documents and word processing

Candidate Minimum Requirements:
• Matric
• Solid computer skills, including MS Office
• Excellent communication skills and warm personality
• Valid drivers licence and own car preferable
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Ability to write and present clearly
• Detail orientated and due diligent
• Excellent administrative skills
